Is equality possible? Like ever be possible?
First of all, why do we, humans strive for equality?
For as long as we can remember, we always strive for it. Countless revolutions, laws, complaints,
movements, etc. are made just for the idea of it. But is it possible?
Humans came in different packages, identities often we think as unique. As a whole, we humans are different, it's in ourselves to be not like any other, to stand out, to be the only thing you can be on your own. We wear uniforms for us to be "one" in an aspect, but we can never look each other the same. We can say that we are all humans, beings of earth, but everyone will agree that we, as a whole cannot be summed up as just one. There is not a single word that can describe the whole human race.
Now we are getting a little side tracked, now back to the real question:
Is equality achievable at all?
The answer, no.
Never!
As positive as I can be, I can't defend equality.
Humans have two categories, males and females. The 2 comprises of different hormones, hormones that affect each other's decision or way of thinking. On that alone I cannot say that what I want is that what they want, vice-versa. We can both agree to something that is good, but we cannot agree that we will agree to all good things there is.
Think of equality as a tree a tree with many stems and leaves. We are the leaves, and the stems are the different opinions, needs, perspectives and things that make us unique. Now in order for us to be equal we need to reach the trunk of the tree. As easy as it is, it means that we need to agree with all our different opinions, needs and perspectives with each individual being satisfied not compromising a single thought of being an individual. Now is that achievable? at some point maybe, but as a whole NO!
We can enforce equality, but that also conflicts with the ideals of equality.
Is there another way?
Yeah of course, there is. It's called "morality". The unique ability of all human race to understand and weigh-in things, the ability of humans to choose the good over the wrong. The idea of morality of what is good and what is wrong is unequal by itself because individuals have different perspectives of what is good and what is wrong. What we can do about it is set an average for us do have better morality, now that can be different for each culture as most of the people will set it in, not everybody but most.
The idea of equality in humans is impossible and an equal world will be a world with not much of a vibe for life. Our differences make us feel alive. Laws might not be as equal, but as long as we have good morality and a good heart, there are no laws nor rights that can take away the equality you have in yourself in how you see it with others. As long as you have good intentions, intentions that are not biased and cannot hurt anyone around you, equality won't be important, because you have it in you, in your hands. The equality of love and care, respect, belief, the unconditional love for each living thing. We don't need laws to make females equal to men, to make religious groups be one. All we need is respect.
No law in the world can enforce respect, as it is earned not obliged.
